Introducing Emily…
Emily has over two decades of experience within the education, skills and assessment sector gain through work with universities, colleges, training providers, awarding bodies and end-point assessment organisations.
Emily holds Chartered Fellow designation from the Chartered Management Institute and has a Masters’ Degree in Curriculum Development alongside her degree and PGCE qualifications.
Emily started her teaching career within the arts sector and has worked in a range of role including degree programme leader for Guildford School of Acting, Director of Student Opportunities and Destinations and then Assistant Principal (Business Development) at John Leggott College, alongside a range of other roles within further and higher education together with external quality assurance for a range of awarding organisations. Emily likes to explore creative and innovative approaches to education and training to ensure the best outcomes for students, providers and employers alike. Emily started her career in the performing and production arts and regularly draws on her experience performing on stage and managing large scale events in her project work.

Introducing Mark…
Since joining Queen Mary’s College, Basingstoke over 20 years ago as a Sport and Physical Education teacher, Mark has progressed in senior leadership roles across a range of institutions. Mark’s portfolio includes Head of Department and Faculty roles, University Partnership Manager and more recently as Principal at Hartlepool Sixth Form where under his leadership, the sixth form attained achievement rates that would have ranked them 8th in the country.
Mark has always had a passion for sport and fitness. After qualifying as a personal trainer and football coach whilst completing a Sports Degree, Mark used these skills within an educational setting to develop successful sports academies linked to local clubs.
With a passion for supporting local schools, Mark has played an active role within school and academy governing bodies. This includes specific roles such as Partnership Governor, Vice Chair and Chair positions. Recently Mark led the successful academisation of a school as Vice Chair of an Interim Executive Board.
